Help us spread some love on Valentines Day and Volunteer at this year's Sweetheart Dance at the North Boulder Recreation Center. Volunteers can choose to help set up or run the event. Volunteers may be subject to a background check for this volunteer opportunity. Set Up Volunteers will transform the North Boulder Recreation Center into a dance space for our smallest community members and their adult Valentine date. The space will be transformed with a balloon archway at the entrance and pink, red, and glittery Valentine decorations will be sprinkled throughout the recreation center. Set Up volunteers should arrive at noon for a volunteer training - pizza will be provided. Event Volunteers will gather at 4:30 to learn about the volunteer roles for the event - pizza will be provided. During the event, these volunteers will help paint kids faces, keep the refreshment tables full, lead kid crafts, and orient the guests to the activity options. After the event, we will need their help to get the recreation center back to its original state before opening for our Sunday morning patrons. Event volunteers should come in their best valentine dance attire. Volunteers under the age of 18 years must volunteer with a parent or guardian. Volunteers should report to the front desk of the North Boulder Recreation Center at the start time of their shift.
