Collecting native seed helps to restore lands affected by wildfires, natural disasters, and invasive plant species. Sowing native seed results in diversifying our natural and agricultural lands which makes them more resilient to climatic changes, pests, droughts, and improves various ecosystem services such as pollinator habitat, carbon sequestration, water storage and filtration. Diverse plant communities serve as the foundation for healthy landscapes and contribute to well-functioning ecosystems.
