Promote a summer of reading and discovery for adults! Inform adults about the Summer of Discovery Program, register them to participate, answer questions about the program, and hand out prizes. Additionally, there are school visits and more than 30 programs for children, teens and adults where volunteer help is needed. Programs range from improvisational music to meeting baby goats to cooking classes. A one-time training is required: the Adult Summer of Discovery Volunteer training. Time Commitment: We are looking for volunteers to make a minimum weekly commitment of 2 hours from June 1 through July 31, ideally the same day and time each week.
