Help as a volunteer at the first LGBTQ+ Safety, Storytelling, and Sanctuary Summit in Boulder, Colorado, hosted at the Boulder Public Library! Volunteer roles: Registration/sign-in, greeting and wayfinding, setting up and cleaning up, helping with serving meals, and assisting with story time! This is a fabulous opportunity to support the LGBTQ+ community by being part of this wonderful event. This volunteer opportunity is available for individuals 16 years old and older. This opportunity is not available for court-ordered community service hours. Skills required: Willingness to clean up, interest in literacy, friendly, welcoming, able to handle food cleanly and safely, and LGBTQ+ affirming. This event is to learn more about the Drag Story Hour organization and how to inspire a love of reading through the art of drag. Sessions will include: Drag Story Hour 101, how to host sacred spaces, event safety workshops and more. Stay after the mini conference at 3 p.m. to enjoy a Drag Storytime. All educators and queer artists are invited.
