Join our horticulture team as they work at different park garden locations throughout the summer. Volunteer for one day or every Wednesday! Tasks may include weeding, mulching, or pruning! Tasks may involve crouching, bending, sitting on the ground, etc. Come prepared for the weather with many layers and sun protection. We recommend you wear a hat, long sleeves, pants, and closed toed shoes to keep yourself safe while working with different tools and materials. What to bring: - Work gloves (we will have extra available for those that need them) - Hat - Sunscreen - Water Meeting Location: Please park at the main Chautauqua parking lot or utilize nearby street parking. Parks and Recreation always encourages volunteers to consider carpooling or taking alternate modes of transportation to the project location. When you arrive at the site please meet our staff at the front entrance garden bed on Baseline Road (see link below). Restrooms: Facilities available Kids must be 12 years old+ to attend. All participants under 18 years of age must with their parent/guardian and have a waiver signed by their parent/guardian prior to the event. All skill levels are welcome - our horticulture team will be there to help guide you!
