Volunteer as a Mobile Earth and Space helper! As a volunteer for this event, you will help the George Reynolds Branch Library staff set up for and run the Mobile Earth and Space Observatory during a day of fun, hands-on science for all ages! You will be asked to greet and check-in registered participants, help with crowd control, help with setup/clean up, and to move around the different stations to ensure participants have what they need and are having a good time. You may be asked to lift, move, or arrange tables, canopies, and other equipment as needed. The program will take place outside in the parking lot. Please dress accordingly. Skills needed: Experience with groups. Comfort greeting participants of all ages, setting up tables and chairs if needed, supporting library staff and presenters with program. Interest in science a plus, but not required! Minimum age to volunteer: 14 years old.
