Experience the wonders of White Rocks through the lens of wabi sabi, the Zen Buddhist esthetic that finds contentment and pleasure in “the transient nature of earthly things.” Identify cycles of growth and decay in the geology, biology, and evolutionary aspects of this unique landscape. Then create a representation of your personal response in a medium of your choice such as collage, drawing, watercolor, photography. Bring a sit-upon, insect repellant and anything else to keep yourself comfortable. Feel free to bring your own art supplies or use provided collage materials. Meeting location will be provided when you register. NOTE: White Rocks hikes are extremely popular but must accommodate small groups. If you have been on a White Rocks hike before, please let others who have not had a turn register first.
