"Can't Hurt Me:" A book review about resiliency

 01/28/2021  |  07:00 PM - 08:00 PM
  Virtual location (from home)

A few years back Ranger Dave Gustafson of Open Space and Mountain Parks (OSMP) led a discussion on Laurence Gonzales’ book “Deep Survival.” We looked at how the mind is the ultimate tool when it comes to survival. This year we dive deeper with “Can’t Hurt Me,” by ex-navy seal David Goggins. Goggins’ childhood was abusive, but his mental toughness and philosophy on suffering helped him earn many special forces accolades and become one of the world's top endurance athletes. If you would like to read the book beforehand; be advised it contains strong language. "Can't Hurt Me" is available on-line, at your local library, and at most bookstores. We will discuss the book in a virtual setting, and enjoy a short slide show from Dave. Registered participants will be sent a link to the virtual meeting space prior to the program start date.
