Join Boulder Open Space & Mountain Parks staff on this family friendly hike to explore the magic of Enchanted Mesa in winter. Immerse yourself in the wintery ponderosa pine forest while playing kid-oriented nature games and learning about the ecosystem. Bring warm drinks and snacks. Expect a 1.5 hour hike and be prepared for cold and possible snow! Sign up or show up, you are welcome. Meet at Enchanted Mesa trailhead. Due to the recent spike in COVID-19 cases in Boulder County, we are stressing safety protocols for all program participants. It is recommended that all participants wear a face covering for the duration of the program unless eating or drinking, and we ask that unrelated groups and participants practice physical distancing.

I began working with OSMP in Spring of 2021 and have since found a niche for myself in the early childhood club. Kids under six and the young at heart seem to appreciate my sense of humor and penchant for all things weird and wacky. You can most often find me at StoryTimes and Nature Play Dates, though I deliver the occasional adult hike, too.
