How does one express the beauty in our land? How do we express our experience of beauty in this local landscape? On this hike, led by Boulder artist Ellen Laverdure, we let ourselves be filled with and shaped by the landscape in which we live. We will hike quietly, observing and experiencing this piece of the world in which we move, recording our musings, observations or reactions at stopping points throughout the hike. Using sketches, words, or even photos, we will create our responses to the geography of the beauty in this place, in this time, in who we are now. At the end of the hike we will fashion our own creative responses, using our hike reflections to remind us of the beauty we are part of as we move through this landscape. Our shared response could be a collaborative, illustrated poem expressing our experiences. Meeting location will be provided in your confirmation email.
