A program geared towards those in recovery, join us for a morning at Light Root Community farm - a regenerative, draft-horse powered farm and dairy located on 60 acres of Open Space and Mountain Parks (OSMP) farmland in Boulder, CO. Join OSMP staff, recovery coach Brian Klink and recovery veteran Jim Veraldi from Boulder Community Health as we team up with husband and wife farmers, Cameron Genter and Daphne Kingsley. See how the practice giving back to the land relates to a sustainable recovery process. This interactive farm experience explores their small grass-based dairy, and how they rejuvenate the health of their fields. Get inspired hearing their story and how a connection to the community drives their social mission. Please dress for the weather, muddy conditions, and bring water and snacks to keep yourself comfortable.
