One-Day Volunteer Project - Trails - Teens (16+) and Adults

What: Trail Work Tuesdays Project Site: TBD When: 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m., Tuesdays throughout Summer 2022 Parking/Registration:. More information about parking and registration will be made available one week prior to the project.. PROJECT Join the City of Boulder Open Space & Mountain Parks for Trail Work Tuesdays! We invite you to get outside and join an OSMP Trail Crew for the day to help construct and maintain sustainable trails! This work helps reduce OSMP’s maintenance backlog, protects valuable natural resources, and provides a more enjoyable visitor experience. PROJECT DIFFICULTY Most projects will be of moderate difficulty. Volunteers should be prepared to work outside, travel by foot over uneven terrain, lift up to 25lbs, and hike 1-2 miles to get to a from project sites. PREPARATION FOR THE DAY --Three quarts of water --Work gloves. --Sturdy boots (No lightweight shoes, or “five-finger” types of shoes.) --Long pants. --Rain jacket. --A long sleeved T-shirt. --Personal first aid kit, if you have one (OSMP will have a group first aid kit.) --Backpack to carry personal items. --Sunglasses, hat and sunscreen. --Clothing appropriate for weather conditions. Dress appropriately for Colorado weather and to work in an outdoor setting off trail. If volunteers come unprepared, you will not be allowed on the project site.
