Bring out your inner goblin with naturalist Basil as we explore the glorious moss of cool green Long Canyon. Join for a discussion of mushrooms, moss, lichen, and other small odds and ends of the forest floor. Participants are encouraged to dress up like goblins or mushroom folk as we hike approximately 1 mile in this gorgeous, moderately difficult terrain. We’ll wrap up with a cute little mushroom themed craft! Bring comfy shoes, plenty of water, and whatever else you will need to enjoy the experience. Consider carpooling with a friend or plan extra time to find parking as parking at this location can be a little slim. This program is geared towards members of the LGBTQIA+ community, but friends and allies are also welcome!
