OSMP Trail Projects - Youth (8+) and Adults

Join the City of Boulder Open Space & Mountain Parks to help finalize a reroute of the East Boulder White Rocks Trail! After a long, hard year we invite you to get outside with your fellow community members and help construct a new sustainable reroute of a trail that has suffered recent damage from significant spring moisture. PROJECT SITE: East Boulder - White Rocks Trail WHEN: 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m., Saturday July 10, 2021 PARKING/REGISTRATION: Park at Teller Farm North Trailhead and walk West 100 yards along trail to cross Valmont to check in with OSMP Staff. PROJECT DIFFICULTY Easy. There will be a variety of tasks for all ages and skill levels on gentle terrain. Preparation for the day: --Three quarts of water or camel packs. --Dress in layers. --Work gloves. --Sturdy boots (No lightweight shoes, or “five-finger” types of shoes.) --Long pants. --Rain jacket. --A long sleeved T-shirt. --Personal first aid kit, if you have one (OSMP will have a group first aid kit.) --Backpack to carry personal items. --Sunglasses, hat and sunscreen. --Clothing appropriate for weather conditions. Dress appropriately for Colorado weather and to work in an outdoor setting off trail. If volunteers come unprepared, you will not be allowed on the project site.
