Four Little Free Libraries, two parks and one ice cream shop in the Table Mesa area Saturday, July 27, 2024 9:30 to 11:30 AM MDT Martin Park shelter South 36th St and Eastman Ave, Boulder, CO 80305 TYPE: Mapped & Guided Program Event | PACE: Conversational | TERRAIN: Sidewalks, paved multi-use paths | DISTANCE: 2.7 miles | ELEVATION GAIN: 150 feet | Stroller, ambulatory walker, and motorized-wheelchair friendly Schedule and Planning: Martin Park is on the easily accessible, multi-use Bear Creek Greenway path. Parking is available next to the park pavilion and on adjacent streets. Go here for a map: caltopo.com/m/U1V65 For textual directions as an alternative to the visuals, visit here: https://shorturl.at/qvJh3 Walk Description: • Bring the family, water, sunscreen, tote bags, and backpacks for a book-hunting adventure! • Walk to four Little Free Libraries where anyone can “take a book and share a book.” • Begin at the Martin Park pavilion near Broadway & Table Mesa Drive. • Bike, walk, drive, or take one of eight RTD bus routes (Skip, Dash, 204, 206, FF1, FF2, FF5, AB1) for a multi-neighborhood outing in Martin Acres, Highland Park, and Table Mesa. • The route is stroller-friendly, also appropriate for powered wheelchairs. • With four little library locations, there will be an assortment of books for everyone. • The walk makes its way to Sweet Cow Ice Cream in the Table Mesa Shopping Center before returning to Martin Park. Notes: • Well-behaved dogs are welcome on 6' or shorter leashes. • Visit four Little Free Library take-one, leave-one locations. littlefreelibrary.org/ • Begin the loop at Martin Park, which also passes through Bill Bower Park, two miles into the walk following all Little Free Library stops. There’s a small shelter at Bill Bower Park but no restrooms. • Martin Park has everything for a picnic – shelter, restrooms, large playground, large meadow for running/playing, and a parking lot. This Guided Walk does not include time for a picnic, but feel free to enjoy the park afterward on your own. • Boulder Public Library George Reynolds Branch is on the route. It opens on Saturday at 10am and it could be an additional library stop afterwards on your own.
