Train to be a STEAM Pal! Make sure to complete the application (see link section below). STEAM Pals is a weekly library event that promotes familiarity with the scientific process for children in elementary school in a comfortable and supportive environment. If you're in grades 9-12, you can partner up with a Little Pal in grades 2-5 on Wednesday afternoons from 4:30 - 5:30 for 10 weeks at Meadows Library to serve as a role model for exploring STEAM activities. The spring 2020 STEAM Pals begins on Wednesday, Feb. 5, 2020 and ends on Wednesday, Apr. 15, 2020. STEAM Pals will not meet on Wednesday, Mar. 25, 2020 due to Spring Break. STEAM Pals Key Responsibilities: STEAM Pals will engage with Little Pals and caregivers while presenting a positive image of the Library in attitude, communications, and appearance. STEAM Pals will guide Little Pals through the scientific process and lead scientific inquiry. STEAM Pals are expected to commit to arriving at 4:15 p.m. and leaving at 5:45 p.m. to ensure enough time for set up/break down of the event. Each session of STEAM Pals is 10 weeks long.
