Project Description: Help prep Valmont Park for a busy summer! Volunteers can choose to sign up for the location of their choice. Once in that location they will be split up to complete the work. Skate Park and Dog Park - Park and sign in at the East Boulder Entrance > Volunteers will help with basic park maintenance projects such as weeding, picking up trash, and removing goat heads from the dog park area. Skate Park volunteers will help pick up litter, paint over graffiti, remove stickers, and possibly repaire skate features Bike Park and General Valmont Park - Park and sign in at the North Entrance off of Airport Road > Volunteers may help with weeding the garden beds, trash pick up, basic trail maintenance, and raking. Disc Golf Course - Park and sign in at the South Entrance off of Valmont Road > Volunteers will help pick up litter, pull weeds, make small repairs, and a tidy up of the course. What to wear: As you know, Colorado weather can vary greatly throughout the day so please dress in layers - we will be working outside all day with limited to no access to indoor space, For your safety, please wear close-toed shoes to this volunteer project. This project will be outdoors doing landscaping, so long sleeves and long pants are recommended. What to bring: Tools, water, and light snacks will be provided for this project; however, please bring the items below.
