Pollinator Gardeners  -  All Ages

THIS WEEK IS CANCELED DUE TO WEATHER Would you like to learn how to establish and maintain a pollinator garden, while helping to create a beautiful and welcoming garden the whole community can enjoy that supports native bees, butterflies and other wildlife? Then, this opportunity is for you. Volunteers are needed on Mondays at 4-6 p.m. every week between April to June and every other week from July to October. Sign up for one or more dates. The pollinator garden at the Rayback Collective (2775 Valmont Road) was planted last fall as part of a community collaboration between the Rayback Collective, the city, the Butterfly Pavilion, Justin’s Nut Butters, CU and other local groups and organizations as part of the Boulder Pollinator Garden Project - a new program to encourage the creation of high quality pollinator habitat throughout Boulder, both on public and private properties. Learn more at BeeBoulder.org Tasks include planting, weeding, pruning, deadheading, spring cleanup, and refreshing mulch as needed while enjoying a few hours of sunshine and fresh air next to Elmer’s Two Mile Creek and will be led by an expert native plant gardener who is knowledgeable about pollinator conservation. Please bring: • Hat & sunscreen • You are welcome to bring your favorite gardening tools and gloves, though tools and gloves will be provided.
