Saddle Rock Trail Work Event  - Saddle Rock

One-Day Volunteer Project - Trails  -  Adults

WHAT: Saddle Rock Trail Work Event WHEN: Saturday October 7, 2023 – 8am – 4pm PROJECT: Saddle Rock Trail Reroute. More information will be emailed to volunteers 1 week prior to the event. Please note: this volunteer opportunity is classified as DIFFICULT and requires a 1.5 mile approach to the project site. Once there, the work will take place on steep hillsides that will require agility and nimble movements working off trail. Please be prepared for this type of environment. Parking/Registration: Realization Point https://www.google.com/maps/place/Realization+Point/@39.9970393,-105.3083394,198m/data=!3m1!1e3!4m6!3m5!1s0x876bec0b344183f3:0x3feda886bf2ef3df!8m2!3d39.99719!4d-105.3089923!16s%2Fg%2F1hm4g6w7h?entry=ttu PREPARATION FOR THE DAY: --Three quarts of water & snacks --Sturdy shoes or boots (No “five-finger” types of shoes, sandals, etc.) --Rain jacket. --Personal first aid kit, if you have one (OSMP will have a group first aid kit.) --Backpack to carry personal items. --Sunglasses, hat and sunscreen. --Clothing appropriate for weather conditions. Dress appropriately for Colorado weather and to work in an outdoor setting off trail. If volunteers come unprepared, you will not be allowed on the project site.
