What: Trail Work Saturday Volunteer Event Project Site: Saddle Rock When: 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., Saturday August 20, 2022 Parking/Registration:. More information about parking and registration will be made available one week prior to the project.. PROJECT Join the City of Boulder Open Space & Mountain Parks to construct and maintain your trails! The project will reduce OSMP’s maintenance backlog, protect valuable natural resources, and provide a more enjoyable visitor experience. PROJECT DIFFICULTY Moderate. Project will involve hiking over uneven terrain, bending, lifting up to 25lbs, and using general hand tools. PREPARATION FOR THE DAY --Three quarts of water --Work gloves. --Sturdy shoes (No“five-finger” types of shoes, sandals, etc.) --Rain jacket. --Personal first aid kit, if you have one (OSMP will have a group first aid kit.) --Backpack to carry personal items. --Sunglasses, hat and sunscreen. --Clothing appropriate for weather conditions. Dress appropriately for Colorado weather and to work in an outdoor setting off trail. If volunteers come unprepared, you will not be allowed on the project site.
