During the winter, Boulder is a hot spot for birds of prey: some migrate here from the very far north! Join OSMP Naturalists Dave Sutherland and Debbie Cushman to watch majestic birds of prey wheel and hunt over the prairie as we hike near Boulder Valley Ranch and the Boulder Reservoir. Bring binoculars, spotting scopes, guidebooks, and any level of experience. Be prepared for cold windy conditions and amazing sights. Please bring strap-on traction for footwear (e.g. micro-spikes or Yak-tracks) since the trail may be very slick and icy. Please do not bring dogs. This hike is free but limited to 20 people; the meeting location will be provided in your confirmation email.
