Project Description: Volunteers will be using tools to remove the vegetation within the rock ditch in the Shanahan Ridge Park. Where to Park and Meet: Please meet park staff in the park. Parking at Shanahan Ridge Park is limited and there is no parking lot. Carpooling, walking or biking to the park is highly encouraged. On street parking on Smugglers Way is the best alternative or park in Fairview High Parking lot and walk up to the park. What to wear: As you know, Colorado weather can vary greatly throughout the day so please dress in layers - we will be working outside all day with limited to no access to indoor space, For your safety, please wear close-toed shoes to this volunteer project. This project will be outdoors doing landscaping, so long sleeves and long pants are recommended. What to bring: Refillable water bottle (additional water will be available) Sunscreen Hat Snacks Work gloves Pruners, if you have them Face Mask - Masks will be strongly recommended outdoors for volunteers while working closely with others or members of the public.
