Celebrate World Migratory Bird Day with a walk on the wild side at St. Vrain State Park! Open Space & Mountain Parks is teaming up with Environment for the Americas, Colorado Parks and Wildlife, and other local organizations to bring you a family-fun day to learn about and observe birds. Walk around the park and visit activity stations for all ages – including live birds of prey, birdwatching for beginners, and a bird-banding station where YOU get banded. OSMP’s Dave Sutherland will be on hand to teach you about ducks, and show you birds through a spotting scope. The event fee of $8 per car, and donations, will be used to fund plastic pollution clean ups to keep birds safe from our trash. Meet at St. Vrain State Park, 3785 Weld County Road 24½, Firestone, CO.
