Join naturalist Debbie Cushman to explore Chautauqua's history and beauty on a summer evening. We will hike up to Wood's Quarry, passing the spot that almost housed a luxury hotel on Enchanted Mesa and back down past an old ski jump and the site of the CCC barracks. This is a moderate loop with roughly 800 feet of elevation gain and 3.5 miles of hiking. Meet at the Chautauqua Ranger Cottage. Please be prepared with at least a liter of water, sturdy hiking shoes, hat and a hearty snack if so desired. Bring along a light rain jacket in case of evening showers.
