Recreation & Skills

Have you experienced all 150 miles of OSMP trails? Immerse yourself in local lands with these OSMP led hikes where we help you design your own trail challenge and keep you motivated. As a part of the Trail Challenge Series we’ll explore the unique diversity of every designated OSMP trail. The winter is a perfect time to begin your challenge as you maintain your physical fitness, make new friends and build community. Meet at the Sawhill Ponds Trailhead. This trail is an easy 1.7 mile loop with 17ft of elevation gain. Sawhill Ponds is a fantastic place to view water fowl and other birds, mule deer, and enjoy a relaxing walk out in nature. Please bring layers appropriate for the weather, at least 1L of water, snacks, and trail crampons for ice and slippery conditions (OSMP will have extras on hand if you do not own any or need help finding the right pair to suit your needs). The links below are to the CoTrex app describing the route, elevation profile, and a link with further information about the trail challenge.
