Join naturalists Basil and Kelly for a relaxed one-to-two-mile hike to celebrate the changing of seasons and the second queerest month of the year! We’ll talk about queerness in nature as well as mimicry, camouflage and different ways critters in nature may change their appearance over the year to blend in or stand out. This program is directed towards our LGBTQIA+ community, and allies, and friends are welcome to join. Please bring water, dress for the weather, and wear whatever makes you comfortable (bonus points if it’s in costume!).Maximum Participants: 20

Hi there, my name is Kelly Kirk and I am a naturalist and a Certified Interpretive Guide through the National Association for Interpretation. My background is in environmental science, community outreach, and volunteer coordination. I enjoy hiking, taking our cunucu to the dog park, and spending time amongst wildflowers. Nature has so much to teach us, and I am l looking forward to learning together in our beautiful natural system. Currently working on the OSMP trails challenge!
