What better way to celebrate the arrival of spring than getting out into nature to enjoy all its beauty? Join OSMP’s Recreation Coordinator, Dakota Anderson, for a hike to some of Dakota’s favorite spots on OSMP. We will learn about the history, ecology, and culture of the area while taking time to simply enjoy presence with new friends and the great outdoors. This hike is a moderate 2 miles with 700ft of elevation gain. Expect some sections of steep and rocky trail. Meet at the Chautauqua Ranger Cottage. Please bring at least 1L of water and layers appropriate for the weather. While this is a spring hike, we may still have snow and ice on the trails, please bring a form of metal traction devices. Don’t own traction devices? No problem! OSMP will have extras to borrow.
