WHAT Trail Work Tuesdays 2024 WHEN 8am - 3pm WHERE Cobalt Trail PROJECT We invite you to join a City of Boulder Open Space & Mountain Parks Trail Crew to help construct a trail reroute of the Cobalt Trail! This work will improve drainage, help protect rare and sensitive plants, and create a better experience for hikers and equestrians. PROJECT DIFFICULTY This project will be of moderate difficulty. Volunteers should be prepared to work outside, travel by foot over uneven terrain, lift up to 25 lb. and hike 1-2 miles to get to and from project sites. More information will be shared via email after registration. PREPARATION FOR THE DAY --Three liters of water & snacks --Study closed toe boots (No "five finger" types of shoes) --Rain jacket --Personal first aid kit, if you have one (OSMP will have a group first aid kit) --Backpack to carry personal items --Sunglasses, hat and sunscreen --Clothing appropriate for weather conditions Dress appropriately for Colorado weather and to work in an outdoor setting off-trail. If volunteers come unprepared, you will not be allowed on the project site. OSMP will provide extra water, gloves and safety gear.
