What: Trail Construction Project Project Site: Community Ditch Reroute When: 9:00am. – 3:00pm., Wednesday September 16, 2020 Registration Site: Please meet OSMP Crew near the junction of Community Ditch and Cowdrey Draw PROJECT Volunteers will be constructing a new, more sustainable reroute of the Community Ditch Trail that connects Marshall Valley to Cowdrey Draw. Also, volunteers will be making major repairs to the remaining sections of Community Ditch Trail. PROJECT DIFFICULTY - Moderate. There is a 1-2 mile, round trip hike/bike ride to and from the project site. Project will involve hiking over uneven terrain, bending, lifting up to 50lbs, and using general hand tools. PREPARATION FOR THE DAY **Two quarts of water or camel packs.** **Snacks & lunch for the day** **Work gloves.** **Face Covering** **Sunglasses or other eye protection ** --Sturdy boots (No lightweight shoes, or “five-finger” types of shoes.) --Long pants. --Rain jacket. --A long sleeved T-shirt. --Personal first aid kit, if you have one (OSMP will have a group first aid kit.) --Backpack to carry personal items. --Hat and sunscreen. --Clothing appropriate for weather conditions. Dress appropriately for Colorado weather and to work in an outdoor setting off trail. If volunteers come unprepared, you will not be allowed on the project site. ** Due to the ongoing Coronavirus, OSMP WILL NOT provide personal protective gear, including face coverings (PPE), extra water or food for this event.
