TWEENS: Boulder ROCKS Rocks!

 07/27/2019  |  10:00 AM - 12:00 PM

Earth & Sky - 10-12 years

Join naturalist Dave Sutherland for a fun family-friendly geology hike for rock jocks ages 9 - 14 and parents, and explore the amazing rock layers at NCAR. Be prepared to crash like continents, flow like igneous rock, get buried in sediment, and handle fossils. Our rocks tell wild stories that include dinosaurs, glaciers, vast swamps, oceans and ancient mountain ranges now vanished into the dust of time. Meet at the NCAR trailhead, near the entrance to the NCAR building.
