Project Description: Fall planting of tulip bulbs begins on the Pearl Street Mall in preparation for spring! The exact location of the planting can vary day to day depending on the weather, but we will meet in front of the Court House on the Pearl Street Mall and move around from there to specific locations on the Pearl Street Mall. Where to Park and Meet: Please be sure to look at the meeting location on the link at the bottom of the project email titled “Pearl Street Mall Court House”. Parks and Recreation always encourages volunteers to consider carpooling or taking alternate modes of transportation to the project location. Metered on street parking is available or in one of the downtown Parking Garages at 15th and Pearl or Spruce just west of Broadway. What to wear: As you know, Colorado weather can vary greatly throughout the day so please dress in layers - we will be working outside all day with limited to no access to indoor space, For your safety, please wear; Close-toed shoes Layered clothing Garden clothing that can get dirty – long pants and a hat are recommended What to bring: Trowel Work gloves Kneeling pad or Knee pads Snack Water Sunscreen Face Mask to wear if 6' distance cannot be maintained Who to Call: Please call Rosa Wright (303) 532-6926 or Jeff Hellman (720) 315-3956 if you have any questions or difficulty finding the location.
