Flagstaff and Mount Sanitas are our mountain backdrop as we share quality walking moments with others. TYPE: Monthly walk PACE: Gentle ~2 mph TERRAIN: Sidewalks/paths/short hill DISTANCE: 2 miles, one hour We will offer recurring monthly walks along city streets and urban paths, with even some trails as eventual possibilities. You, the walking community, can help provide ideas for preferred types and durations of walks in Boulder. We will move at your pace. All physical circumstances and limitations are welcome. There will be some elevation gain – this is Boulder after all! We will guide and protect, but all participants are responsible for their own safety. Walk Description: One-hour conversational walk observing houses, flowers, landscaping, shops, and neighborhoods. Beginning at Spruce Confections on Pearl Street, the walk will head west toward The People’s Crossing and then either further west or south across Canyon Drive, and then loop back to Spruce Confections. Schedule and transit: We will meet at 9:00 a.m. outside Spruce Confections at 767 Pearl Street. You can get a drink or healthy snack and use the restroom, if needed. The area is easily accessible by free transit (during July and August) – either direction of the HOP route stops a couple blocks away. · We will begin walking at 9:05, so please arrive on time. · Be sure to bring water and sun protection. Check the forecast and wear appropriate clothing. · Well-behaved and well-socialized dogs on 6' or shorter leashes are welcome.
