--- Project Site: OSMP Location Parking/Registration: OSMP Cherryvale Trailhead - 66 South Cherryvale Road Project Contact: Josh Weinstein 720-607-3481 Project Volunteers will join staff in collecting Nuttall's sunflower (Helianthus nuttallii), native seed for future restoration projects. Volunteers will meet at the Cherryvale trailhead and then carpool to the seed collection site. Preparation for the day, what you will need for the day: --Two quarts of water or camel packs. --Long pants. --Dress in layers. --Work gloves. --Sturdy boots (No lightweight shoes, or “five-finger” types of shoes.) --Rain jacket. --A long sleeved T-shirt. --Personal first aid kit, if you have one (OSMP will have a group first aid kit.) --Backpack to carry personal items. --Sunglasses, hat and sunscreen. --Clothing appropriate for weather conditions. Dress appropriately for Colorado weather and to work in an outdoor setting off trail. If volunteers come unprepared, you will not be allowed on the project site.
