Experience the beauty and mystery of nature at Boulder Open Space and Mountain Parks' White Rocks, where natural forces have created a unique environment available to the public through guided hikes. Join OSMP naturalist Casey Bries for a 2 mile hike exploring the distinctive geologic and biological features of the area that combine to foster feelings of beauty, wonder and peace. We advise long pants, gaiters and closed toe shoes for weed seed protection. Also bring water, snacks, and protection for sun, rain and mosquitoes (which can sometimes be fierce!) Meeting location will be provided when you register. NOTE: White Rocks hikes are extremely popular but must accommodate small groups. If you have been on a White Rocks hike before, please let others who have not had a turn register first. Due to the Covid-19 virus, we are stressing safety protocols for all hike participants. Group sizes will be limited to 10 people, and you must register beforehand to attend. Participants will also need to complete a brief online training slide show (see below) before registration is allowed. The slide show explains our expectations for social distancing, facial coverings and other important measures to keep you and other participants safe. If you have not yet taken the required “OSMP COVID-19 Safety Protocol for Programs," you will be automatically directed to take that course when you log in to register. Click “Start” to go to the course page and scroll down to click “Start” again to begin the course. It should take about 5 minutes to complete. When you’ve read and clicked through ALL of the course pages using the “Next” button, you will be brought back to the general “Courses” page. Return to this registration web page, and click the Registration link and click “Register” again to be added to the roster. You will not need to repeat the course to register for future Natural Selections programs.
