Have you ever looked above Boulder, and noticed the areas burned from Wildfires? Did you notice how many are south of Boulder Canyon? The Dome, Black Tiger, Fourmile, Sunshine, and Anemone are just a few fire scars that you can see atop Anemone Hill. Why are they so close together? What impact have they had on the land? How were they put out? What stories do they have to tell us? Join Ranger/firefighter Dave Gustafson for this 3.2-mile hike on a loop of Anemone Mountain, to answer these questions. Bring plenty of water, sunscreen, and snacks for this 3-hour educational endeavor. Be advised: this hike is strenuous and gains 700 ft in elevation.
