The City of Boulder has over 46,000 acres of Open Space. We have 177 designated trails covering about 155 miles. Can you hike them all? Discover OSMP’s Trails Challenge and check several trails off the list during this moderate loop around the Chautauqua and Enchanted Mesa area. As an added bonus, your guide customizes the experience to help you learn about OSMP history, geology and ecology along the way. This hike is ideal for (but not limited to!) newcomers to the area and folks that simply want to build community through hiking local lands. Hike Details: We'll hike west across the Chautauqua Meadow to the Flatirons Loop then Enchanted Mesa - about four miles and 800 ft of elevation gain. Hiking will be at a moderate pace. Please bring layers appropriate for the weather, water and proper hiking footwear. While this is a moderate hike, expect some sections of rocky/steep terrain.
